The Odyssey presents an analysis of the present ruling elite, independent of the country, but focussed on the occident for emphasis. It does this by re- interpreting this ancient story as a metaphor for the descent of man into the present mess, thus releasing a route-map for undoing the damage and bringing healing to the (primarily) sociopaths in charge.
